4. Hear from Pledge 1% and the Salesforce Foundation
There are two opportunities to hear from the Salesforce Foundation at SXSW. This panel is titled “Building a Movement of Corporate Citizenship” and takes place on Monday, March 16th from 3:05-3:30 pm at Trinity Hall.
This panel is hosted by Pledge 1%, a movement founded by Atlassian, Entrepreneurs Foundation of Colorado, and the Salesforce Foundation. Pledge 1% encourages and challenges individuals and companies to pledge 1% of equity, product and employee time for their communities. You’ll hear inspiring insights about the benefits of fostering a culture of corporate citizenship. Panel members include:

You can also join the Salesforce Foundation during the United Nations Foundation's #2030NOW: Innovations for the World We Want sessions on Monday, March 16 from 4:00-5:00 pm at Trinity Hall. In the session "Creating a 'Digital Demand Commons' to Anticipate the Needs of 8 Billion People," you'll hear how public- and private-sector organizations are trying to build a "digital demand commons" platform to help the world prepare for the needs of a changing population.
This session focuses on the efforts of Project 8, a collaboration between the United Nations, the United Nations Foundation, the Demand Institute (jointly operated by Nielsen and The Conference Board), Salesforce, and Accenture. Presenters include:
- Lori Freeman, Director of Product Marketing, Salesforce Foundation
- Nic Covey, Executive Director, United Nations Relationship, Nielsen & The Demand Institute
